Privacy Policy

SpotWarp ("we", "our", or "us"), operated by ENPLABS VENTURES, sells one thing: a subscription to a failover and backup daemon that runs on your own machine. Because the software runs locally, very little of your information ever reaches us. This policy explains exactly what does, what does not, and why.
1. What Never Reaches Us
This is the most important section, so it comes first. The SpotWarp daemon runs on your machine, and the following never leave it:
- Your Vast.ai and RunPod API keys. They are read locally by the daemon to manage your own instances. They are never transmitted to us, and we have no way to act on your compute accounts.
- Your workspace, training data, checkpoints, and code. Backups are copied from your rented instance to your own machine. They never pass through our servers.
- Your SSH keys and instance credentials.
- Your payment card details. Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
2. What We Do Collect
Account and subscription data. When you subscribe, we store your email address, the license key we issue you, your plan, and your renewal or expiry date. The email address comes from Stripe at checkout.
License checks. The daemon periodically asks our server whether your license is still valid. That request contains your license key and nothing else.
Usage counters. The daemon reports a small set of aggregate numbers tied to your license key: how many instances are currently being guarded, how many failovers have occurred, the estimated dollars saved, the estimated percentage saved, and the time of the last report. These are counts only — no instance identifiers, no file names, no workload contents.
Referral attribution. If you arrive through a creator partner link, we store that partner's code in a session cookie so the partner is credited.
Ordinary server logs. Like any web server, ours records requests, including IP addresses and browser user-agent strings.
3. How We Use It
- Validating your license so the daemon keeps protecting your instances
- Managing your subscription, renewals, and refunds
- Sending transactional email — receipts, license keys, expiry notices, and replies to your support requests
- Showing you your own usage numbers in your dashboard
- Crediting creator partners for referrals
We do not send marketing email to customers who have not asked for it.
4. We Do Not Sell Your Data
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run advertising, and we do not share your data with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
5. Service Providers We Use
We rely on a small number of providers, each handling only what it needs to:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe handles your card details directly; we receive only your email and subscription status.
- Resend — sending transactional email to your address.
- Cloudflare — DNS and reverse proxy for this website.
- Amazon Web Services — hosting for this website and the license server.
Note that Vast.ai and RunPod are your providers, not ours. You contract with them directly, and their privacy policies govern the data you give them.
6. Storage, Security, and Retention
Your account data is stored on AWS infrastructure, and all traffic to this site and our license API is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.
We keep your account data for as long as your subscription is active. After you cancel, we retain the billing record only as long as Canadian accounting and tax rules require, and delete the rest on request.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of any non-transactional email by replying "unsubscribe"

8. Cookies
We run no analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking scripts of any kind on this site. The only cookies we set are functional session cookies, and there are three of them: one remembering a creator referral code, one keeping you signed in to your customer dashboard, and one for our own admin login.
